Privacy policy.
Last updated: June 30, 2026.
This is the plain-English version of our privacy policy. We're an independent newsroom, not a data company. We collect the minimum needed to run a website and serve ads, and we never sell user data to third parties.
What we collect automatically
When you visit 0daynews.com, the following are collected automatically:
- Anonymous traffic data via Cloudflare's hosting platform — page views, referrer, country, device type. This layer sets no cookies and holds no personal identifiers. Cookie-based analytics (Google Analytics 4) run only after you consent — see below.
- Ad-serving data via Google AdSense, once enabled — required for ads to display. Includes ad clicks, viewability, basic device info. AdSense uses cookies for EEA/UK/Swiss visitors only after consent (we use Google's certified consent management approach).
- Server logs via Cloudflare — IP address, request timestamp, URL. Retained briefly for security and debugging. Not linked to any other data.
What we collect with your consent
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) cookies — loaded only after you accept via the consent
banner on this site. GA4 sets the
_gaand_ga_*cookies (used to distinguish visitors and measure sessions) and is not cookieless; we run it with IP anonymization enabled. The_gacookie expires after 2 years and the_ga_*session cookie after 2 days. Your consent choice is stored locally in your browser (odn_analytics_consent), not in a cookie. You can opt out at any time — click "Cookie preferences" in our footer to withdraw consent.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
- We don't run third-party tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight, etc.).
- We don't fingerprint browsers or track users across other sites.
- We run no affiliate program, so there are no affiliate tracking links on this site.
- We don't use behavioral profiling for editorial decisions — what we publish is independent of who reads it.
Third-party services we use
The following third parties may receive minimal data when you visit:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site. Cloudflare privacy policy
- Google Analytics 4 — measures site traffic, loaded only after you consent. Google privacy policy
- Google AdSense — serves ads, once enabled. Google privacy policy
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
If you're in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or California, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you (in practice, this is minimal — no accounts or email subscriptions exist)
- Request deletion of that data
- Object to processing
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@0daynews.com. We respond within 30 days.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (CCPA)
We do not sell or share your personal information, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Because we run no such sale or sharing, no opt-out is required — but California residents may still exercise the access, deletion, and correction rights described above by emailing contact@0daynews.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children's privacy
Our site is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us immediately and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page with a date stamp. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the most recent revision.
